Growing Product, Brand, Website, and Leads
CASE STUDY: Music Apps – In the last two years, Bruck Marketing has enjoyed helping three distinct music apps grow their products, brands, content, leads, and marketing ecosystems. This is a passion area for Bruck Marketing’s Brian Gundersdorf, a former touring and recording musician. He’s been able to bring deep domain expertise and guidance to each of these projects.
Aria Music
Up and coming artists simply don’t get paid enough on most streaming platforms. Aria’s platform aims to right that, and give fans more control of where their music goes. It’s a no-brainer for artists, but to win over investors, Aria Music needed to show they could appeal to listeners too.
- Strategic Positioning – Bruck Marketing developed a hook to make the product appealing to the buyers (the fans)! We identified a subset of the market to appeal to, suggested features to better appeal to that market, and developed customer-centric messaging.
- Brand Personality – Helped arrive at a “cool genius” brand voice.
- Clarity – The offering is multi-tiered and complex. We created customer-centric AND investor-centric messages to help Aria Music sear their message into the firmament.
- Pitch Deck – We wrote and developed a first design draft of the pitch deck to investors.
“Brian {at Bruck Marketing} is the coolest product strategist I’ve met. He surfaced market opportunities, clarified our offering, and codified our customer’s motivations. Now we have an unforgettable story to help musicians, fans, and investors understand how our product can improve their lives. With Brian’s help, we’ve found ourselves.”

GroovConnect
Booking a series of private music lessons is nothing like scheduling a recurring business meeting, class, or event. GroovConnect was created specifically for the unique needs of music schools. It is family-friendly, supports private lessons, recurring programs, and auto-enrollment. Bruck Marketing came into help GroovConnect elevate both their product aesthetic and website voice.
- Product Design – Bruck Marketing provided redesigns of a few key screens that users interact with most. Then we promoted those screens prominently on our redesigned GroovConnect website.
- Visual Brand Refinement – Groov’s voice and visuals were a bit technical. We brought a vivid new look and feel with music schools and families in mind, and applied that to their new website.
- BrandLab Messaging+ Workshop – We ran two workshop sessions with the GroovConnect team to align and energize them around their brands purpose and extract clear, persuasive messages for their website and sales collateral.
- Website Design and Development – With the new product screens, new visual brand, and new messaging worked out, we were able to develop a crisp, responsive, customer-centric website for GroovConnect in just a couple of weeks.
- Blog Writing and SEO – We continue to write SEO-optimized blogs for GroovConnect on a regular cadence.
- LeadGen – We build GroovConnect’s leads via LinkedIn magic and nurture those leads with relevant content.
LiveLink
LiveLink founder, Keeva Coppinger, noticed a common problem among student musicians: It’s hard to set up a local bar gig and even harder to get paid! The ROI of live music at a bar can be significant, but it’s hard for bar managers to make time for finding and booking entertainers. LiveLink was created to help bars find and connect with local performers—and massively improve the user experience of booking live entertainment.
- Competitive Landscape – We presented learnings from reviewing competitor’s website and products that significantly influenced the design of LiveLink.
- Branding – Working with Keeva’s logo mockup and some color preferences, we developed a professional logo, branding, and iconography—truly developing this brand from scratch.
- Mobile-First Prototype – Our discovery process was guided, tested, and affirmed by fully-interactive prototypes. These developer-friendly Figma prototypes then accelerated the frontend development of LiveLink.
- Development Partner – Budget was a priority on this project. Our development partner, CABEM, was able to deliver a fully self-service consumer product efficiently by leveraging:
- Livia – Their proprietary library of compatible building blocks, allowing for quicker and more cost-effective development compared to traditional methods.
- Form Gen – No need to reinvent the wheel for forms in an app. CABEM’s robust form generation library is built on the foundation of decades of experience building robust forms.
- Stripe for Payment – LiveLink manages payment transfer between venues and artists. For optimal risk-management and an efficient build, we leverage Stripe, and industry-leading plugin for managing payment transfers.
Bruck Marketing and CABEM are excited to play a part in improving the experience for live performers and venues.
